Sophie Turner is not going to rehab for her 'heavy drinking', here's the truth behind the rumor

Rumors about celebrities' lives - from their weddings and love affairs to lifestyle - everything is left to the open imagination of a ruthless audience that demands to know more and more.

This time, a rumor comes to target 'Game of Thrones' star Sophie Turner.

It was last year that rumors started doing the round that Turner was going to get herself admitted to a rehabilitation center because her dependence on alcohol was no longer under control.

An article published in NW magazine claimed that the actress was "on a slippery slope" with her "heavy drinking". The article added that even husband Joe Jonas was "worried" that her drinking "might not be the best" - not just for her health but for him too. Apparently, according to a source who spoke to NW at the time, "He's [Joe Jonas] has gone through periods heavy drinking himself and had to be disciplined about not going overboard."

The source also added that "Sophie loves nothing more than a big boozy session." In addition to this, NW's article suggested that Turner look to her co-star Kit Harrington as an example and address her alcohol issues just like he did - "take a page out of his book." The article also stated that the actress "will deny she has a problem until she's blue in the face. It seems like there’s a massive party happening more and more often."

This, however, is hardly the truth as Gossip Cop , "There was simply no truth to it."

Gossip Cop noted that the story started doing the rounds when Harrington admitted himself into rehab and rumors around Turner only tried to make the most of these events. Assuming Turner needed help, just because her show' co-star needed it is just an attempt to cash in on the hype surrounding the actor's life, claims Gossip Cop.

Plus the article was out nearly a year ago and Turner hasn't admitted herself in rehab.

At the same time,  that article had written about Jonas's apparent "drug and alcohol demons" and how his previous relationship with singer Demi Lovato had affected his life. He had clarified this in a very old interview. "I don’t even smoke weed that often anymore," he had . And that he doesn't drink heavily, but "appreciate[s] a wine or a vodka-soda at the end of the day every once in a while."

He also spoke against rumors about him going to rehab for heroin addiction. "People are asking me if they can give me a hug and how rehab is," he had . "I’m like, 'you tell me because I’ve never been'" proving that these have only even been vulgar speculations.

At the moment, Turner isn't drinking. But that could be because the couple is expecting a child. "....I pour him his drinks. I pour him his alcohol. I give him tequila shots," she had said on the at-home version of 'Conan' on March 31.
