Rapper Ralos Prison Break, Whos Next? List of Rappers Facing Sentences

The hip-hop world is doing a victory dance as Rapper Ralo gets sprung from the big house after almost six years of legal limbo.

Ralo swapped his prison kicks for some fresh designer sneakers and wore a grin as wide as the Mississippi. But this is just one verse in the ongoing hip-hop legal saga, so let’s groove to Ralo’s release and peek behind the bars of justice to see which rappers are currently serving time.

Ralo’s Great Escape

Ralo’s exit from prison wasn’t a leisurely walk in the park. He got nabbed in April 2018 after the cops said they found almost $1 million worth of weed on his private plane at Atlanta’s Dekalb-Peachtree Airport.

At first, he put up a fight, pleading not guilty to drug conspiracy charges in May. But in February 2019, he reportedly turned down a sweet five-year plea deal.

Eventually, with some time served and good behavior points, Ralo’s back on the streets. His legal journey is a head-scratcher, raising questions about the justice system and the twists and turns of his arrest and sentencing.

Behind Bars Hip-Hop Jam

Ralo’s return to the rap scene has reignited the conversation about other rappers behind bars. The hip-hop arena has seen a parade of artists facing legal troubles and, in some cases, hard time. Let’s take a closer look at a few:

1. Young Thug:

Young Thug, who is suspected of murder, armed robbery, and gun possession, has been detained since May 2022. He is being held while he awaits his court date and battles to keep his freedom.

2. Fetty Wap:

Fetty Wap was sentenced to six years in prison after becoming involved in a drug trafficking case in October 2021. The charges centered on drug distribution in the New York City region using a combination of substances.

3. 9lokknine:

This rapper’s seven-year sentence for possession of an unregistered firearm aggravated identity theft, and being a felon with a firearm comes from a history of gun-related incidents.

4. Tory Lanez:

Tory Lanez was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm, and negligent firearm discharge.

This happened following a wild incident with Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. He’s in line for a maximum of 22 years.

5. Tsu Surf:

Tsu Surf, who is suspected of being a major player in the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, could spend up to 30 years in prison.

The charges include conspiracy to commit racketeering and having weapons and ammunition while a convicted felon.

6. Casanova:

He received a sentence of 15.6 years for charges of racketeering and gang-related racketeering. It also included drug trafficking through the distribution of controlled substances and the possession of a firearm.
