Singer-songwriter Daphne Willis is back with her brand new single ‘Hustle’, which sees her team up with rapper Gizzle.
Armed with an infectious energy and bundles of attitude, ‘Hustle’ is our new favourite motivational anthem. Daphne brings her fierceness to the verses and addictive chorus, whilst Gizzle’s rap adds an extra flavour to the bop.
‘Hustle’ is a song that we can all relate to and that’s why we’re already obsessed with it. Our only issue is that at just 2 minutes and 18 seconds, the track is far too short for our liking. However, it’s easy to enough to hit the repeat button, jam along and hustle harder to this song.
Speaking about the track, Daphne told us: “The idea for ‘Hustle’ came very easily. I am surrounded by so many amazing people everyday just straight up hustling; friends, family, my partner and myself included. You can see it in peoples’ eyes when they are focused and it’s inspiring as hell. I wanted to put that inspiration into an upbeat song that motivates people to get that focus – no matter what may be standing in their way.”

‘Hustle’ follows on from Daphne’s 2017 EP Freaks Like Me, which features the tracks ‘Dopamine’ and ‘Out Of The Black’. The EP also includes ‘Somebody’s Someone’, which went viral last year. The track has since garnered over 20 million views on Facebook.
Not only is Daphne a talented singer-songwriter, but she uses her platform to be a voice for others who might be afraid to talk about their issues and problems. An icon and advocate for mental health awareness, Daphne is an inspiration to many and we cannot wait to see how she will continue to use her music as a tool for spreading positivity.
