Superstore star America Ferrara and her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, have welcomed their second child. The actress announced the news on Sunday via an Instagram post, and she said that her daughter arrived just in time to give Mother’s Day kisses and hugs herself.
Ferrara introduced her daughter Lucia Marisol Williams to the world with an Instagram pic that featured the baby’s hand cradled in her parents’ hand. She revealed that Lucia arrived on May 4th, and “Mama, Dada, & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family.”

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star also noted in her caption that the quarantine canceled their baby shower, but it didn’t stop her from collecting and delivery essential supplies to #YesWeCanMobileSchools. The organization provides spaces for moms and children at the US/Mexico border that allow them to “learn, play, and stay safe through these hard times.”

Ferrara and Williams were already the parents of a son named Sebastian, and they announced their pregnancy news on New Year’s Eve that featured a pic of Sebastian touching Ferrara’s baby bump. Ferrara looked down and smiled at her son in the photo while Williams knelt down beside the toddler and smiled.
Ferrara announced her pregnancy with Sebastian – who they call Baz – on New Year’s Eve in 2017 and she also gave birth to him in May.
“She loves that child so much, she adores them so so much, but she hasn’t lost herself if that makes any sense,” Ferrera’s Superstore co-star Lauren Ash told Us Weekly. “She still takes the time that she needs to do her job, to [do] self-care. I really admire how much she has continued to take care of herself because I think that allows her to be as present for her child as possible. That’s something I’ve always looked up to.”

In February, the Ugly Betty alum told her Instagram fans that her first trimester was filled with “nausea and exhaustion,” which made working out a chore. She said that she would walk into the gym and nap for ten minutes on the massage table before getting started.

She admitted that there were some weeks where she was only able to muster one workout, and there were other weeks where she didn’t make it to the gym at all. However, she refused to feel like she had failed. America Ferrara said that throughout her second pregnancy, she was equally committed to feeling strong and being kind to herself.
